The European Union's executive recommended last Friday that Ukraine and Moldova be considered candidates for membership. Georgia was asked to first fulfill a number of conditions.

It is expected that this issue will be discussed at the next EU Summit.  The 27 member states will vote to approve the candidacy of Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia.
