(VOVWORLD) - A Facebook group called "Hanoi - Helping each other overcome the pandemic" was recently established to deliver food and necessities to people in need.
The group has had more than 30,000 members join and its management board consists of businessmen, doctors, journalists, teachers, artists, scientists, and social activists, according to the group leader Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi.
He said,"The group serves as a coordinator to connect people in need and benefactors via social media and internet platforms. We will receive the information and needs of people in difficult situations and find suitable benefactors. We will also work closely with local authorities to ensure that not a single person in need is left behind."
The founders of the Facebook group said that they wish to accompany every citizen to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
