(VOVWORLD) - The gold-plated trophy of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is scheduled to arrive in Vietnam on Friday as part of its tour to 32 countries to promote the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The Ambassadors of Australia and New Zealand, the co-hosts of the Women’s World Cup, will attend the trophy procession.
Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice Secretary General of the Vietnam Football Federation, said: “Besides the official program, we will organize many exciting sideline events. We will invite 300 guests and representatives of media agencies. We hope this will be a meaningful program and a good beginning on the journey to the final round of the Women's World Cup of the Vietnamese women's football team.”

FIFA Women's World Cup Trophy Tour started on February 25thin Japan, and will visit 31 countries competing at the Women's World Cup. At the end of its journey, the trophy will stop in 9 cities in New Zealand and Australia from June 2nd to July 14th before the tournament officially takes place from July 20th to August 20th.
Vietnam will play in Group E alongside world defending champions USA, world runners-up Netherlands, and winners of a play-off match between Portugal and Cameroon.
