Within the dialogue’s framework, Indian and US delegates will focus their discussions on “changing initiatives” in key areas, such as national defense, security, trade, energy, investment, science and technology, human resources, counter-terrorism, and tackling climate change. The two sides will seek new fronts and initiatives to strengthen bi-lateral relations on the threshold of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US in September. Earlier, Kerry met with Indian Minister of Finance and Defense, Arun Jaitley. Kerry will pay a courtesy visit to Modi on Friday before leaving New Delhi, closing his trip to India.
