The first private waste-to-energy plant in Vietnam was invested by Green Star Environmental Company in collaboration with South Korea’s Chosun Refractories ENG and SK Ecoplant.

The 45 million USD plant has a waste treatment capacity of 800 tonnes per day, and generating 6MW of electricity.

It is expected to soon become a pioneering model for exchanging carbon certificates in line with the 1995 Paris Agreement and a bilateral agreement between Vietnam and South Korea.
