Five injured in rocket attack on US military base in Iraq
(VOVWORLD) - At least five US personnel were injured in an attack against a US military base in Iraq on Monday.

According to two Iraqi security sources, the al-Asad airbase in western Iraq was struck by two rockets. It is unclear who was behind the attack.
Last week the US carried out a strike it said was against militants getting ready to launch drones that posed a threat to US and coalition forces.
Tensions rose in the Middle East after last week’s killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
The 2,500 US troops in Iraq have been targeted by multiple reprisal attacks since the Israel-Hamas conflict erupted last October.
