Folk music connects Vietnamese, Chinese youths
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese and Chinese youths participated a folk music exchange themed “Singing together in friendship” in Hanoi on Tuesday, drawing an audience of 500 from both countries.

Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, said the literature and arts organizations of Vietnam and China have enjoyed close and friendly relations for a long time.
Chen Yijun, Standing Member of the Regional Party Committee and Head of the Communication Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee, said music has always played an important role in cultural exchanges between Vietnam and China.
In recent years, art and music universities in Guangxi and Vietnam have sent young artists to learn from each other, jointly organized music weeks, concerts, and art exhibitions, and cooperated in training young talents.
The event was jointly organized by the Vietnam National Academy of Music and China’s Guangxi Academy of Arts.
