(VOVWORLD) - Experts elaborated on theoretical issues in building a politically strong army at a seminar making the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Deputy Minister of Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh said, “Over the last 80 years, the Vietnam People's Army has always stayed firm on building a politically strong army as a fundamental principle of building a new model army of the working class. By thoroughly grasping that principle, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always paid attention to building a politically strong Vietnam People's Army, considering it a consistent lesson and a solid premise for building a lean, strong, modern army, that is absolutely loyal to the nation, the Party, the State and able to complete every task and overcome every difficulty.”
The School of Political Officers, the Department of Communications and Education, and the People's Army Newspaper co-organized the seminar.
