(VOVWORLD) - The burial ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong was held at 3:00 PM on Sunday in Pho Khanh Commune, Duc Pho Town, Quang Ngai Province.

Among those in attendance were National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, and other incumbent and former leaders of the Party and State.
On behalf of the Funeral Organizing Board and the family of former President Tran Duc Luong, Deputy PM Nguyen Hoa Binh expressed sincere gratitude to current and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; revolutionary veterans; representatives of ministries, agencies, localities, and armed forces; the people; as well as foreign leaders, diplomatic missions, and international friends for their heartfelt condolences—through messages, floral tributes, and their presence at the respect-paying, memorial and funeral ceremonies.
“May the soul of Comrade Tran Duc Luong, former State President, rest in eternal peace. Farewell, Comrade Tran Duc Luong,” said Deputy PM Binh.
