German newspaper Der Spiegel on Sunday quoted SPD parliamentary leader Thomas Oppermann as saying on Saturday that it’s necessary to form a committee for investigating the NSA, aiming to re-build trust in protecting personal information. Oppermann, who leads the parliamentary committee that scrutinizes Germany's intelligence services, proposed to allow former US secret agent Edward Snowden to present related information to the German parliament. He affirmed that this valuable witness will not be taken to the US if he is in Germany.
