Germany, France and Great Britain to keep troops in Mali despite coup
(VOVWORLD) - French, British and German defense ministers on Friday insisted that their troops remain assigned to UN and French-led missions in Mali despite a military coup on August 11.

The host of the tripartite talks, German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer said Europe’s “engagement” in the UN MINUSMA mission and the French Barkane operation since 2012-2013 was “still necessary”.
