(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City must push COVID-19 vaccination to the max, Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long told city authorities in a meeting on Thursday.

The Ministry will send more medical staff to Ho Chi Minh City if necessary, he noted.
Ho Chi Minh City now has 650 vaccination teams, capable of administering up to 80,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses per day. The City aims to deliver a first dose to 70% of its population by August.
It has been allocated more than 930,000 doses of three kinds of vaccine – AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Pfizer.
