(VOVWORLD) -During the Humanitarian Month 2025 of May themed "Humanitarian Journey-Spreading Love", the Vietnam Red Cross Society aim to raise more than 15.3 million USD to support 1.2 million people in difficult circumstances.

The first activities of the Humanitarian Month will take place in three provinces of Quang Tri, Dak Lak, and Dong Thap this weekend.
Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said, “In 2025, the Vietnam Red Cross Society aims to mobilize at least 400 billion VND (15.3 million USD) to organize humanitarian activities nationwide. By April 23, the fund raising had reached over 40% of the target. Hopefully, by May 31, the 400 billion target will be achieved, exceeding the original target.”
