Indonesia to send forensic experts help searching for missing flight

(VOVworld) – Indonesia will send forensic experts to help identify the victims of the plane crash in Papua province, National Police chief General Badrodin Haiti said Monday.

 Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) in collaboration with the National Armed Forces and police deployed 10 small aircrafts and over 260 staffs to search for the missing ATR 42-300 plane. On Monday, the rescue team said several debris were found at an altitude of 2,500m, in the rocky mountainous area of Seram-Oksop.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and required Basarnas to push up the search efforts. The victims’ families expressed their disappointment towards the Trigana Air Service for not providing them with clear information about the flight.
