Indonesia’s tsunami: casualties mount

(VOVWORLD) - Indonesia’s disaster agency says the death toll from last weekend’s tsunami has climbed to 373. 

Disaster agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said Monday that 128 others are missing. Experts warn that a second tsunami may soon strike Indonesia.

Japan’s government said on Monday that Japan will provide as much support as it can to areas affected by the deadly tsunami. In a message to Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono sent condolences to the families of victims and said he hopes the affected areas will recover quickly.
