Speaking at the closing ceremony, Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Tourism Department, hailed the festival’s success, which was attributed to its harmonious combination of cultural, sporting, and tourism activities. Dishes from 21 countries and territories were put up for tasting at the event. Another highlight of the festival was a competition of head-chefs from 17 local five-star hotels and an event in which pastry artisans got together to make 51 types of cakes, setting a new Vietnam record.
