Initiated in 2012 by the Vietnam Internet Association with the support of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Internet Day has become a prestigious forum on Internet issues in Vietnam.

Vu Hoang Lien, President of the Vietnam Internet Association, said that opportunities for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises are huge.

"The question is what they should do to meet the needs of the domestic market, which is estimated to reach 100.19 million users by 2029. With the readiness of infrastructure and the determination of the Government, Vietnam has the potential to become an innovation center in the AIoT era. To truly create a breakthrough, strong cooperation between the state, enterprises, and the technology community is needed," said Mr. Lien.

The 2024 version will have two plenary sessions to review Vietnam’s Internet achievements and propose breakthrough measures based on advanced technology such as 5G, Cloud, Data Center (DC), and AI to boost digital transformation in Vietnam. In-depth sessions will discuss the importance of DC in the AI era and release the Vietnam Cloud Computing and Data Center Special Report 2024 (VNCDC).

The organizer says that the world is undergoing a significant transformation into the AIoT era, creating intelligent systems capable of real-time automation and data processing.

To catch up with technological advancement, Vietnam’s technology infrastructure must rapidly upgrade data centers and cloud computing to lay a firm foundation for robust computing capabilities and high-speed data transmission.

Connectivity technologies such as 5G and 6G will be driving forces in integrating AIoT applications, delivering optimal efficiency for the economy.
