Iran seeks to strengthen ties with Vietnam in various areas: President
(VOVWORLD) - Iran is seeking to bolster cooperation with Vietnam in various fields, including politics, defense and security, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

During a meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc in Tehran on Tuesday after receiving his credentials, President Pezeshkian expressed his belief that the new ambassador would make significant contributions to boosting the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, serving the needs and interests of both peoples.
Noting the close ties between the two countries over the years, the Iranian President said Iran is ready to share its experiences with Vietnam in various areas.
Stressing the important roles of Vietnam in Southeast Asia and Iran in the Middle East, Mr. Ngoc noted the two countries’ shared aspirations for peace and substantial development potential create a solid foundation for expanding cooperation in multiple fields.
He pledged to further promote bilateral friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Iran.
