(VOVworld) – Iraqi insurgents on Saturday assaulted a military base in Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province in northern Iraq, killing 20 soldiers. Last month, gunmen attacked a military base in western Mosul, killing 12 and injuring 15. Iraq is facing the bloodiest violence since factional conflicts began in 2006 and 2007.
