(VOVWORLD) - The Israeli army on Saturday mobilized fighter jets to attack Hodeidah port in Yemen’s territory controlled by Houthi forces, in retaliation for a drone attack targeted Tel Aviv city a day earlier, which killed one person.

Houthi’s al-Masirah TV reported that an oil refinery facility was hit by an airstrike, which killed and injured some people. After confirming the information to the press, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hodeidah port is where Houthi receives weapons from outside. He declared that Israel would "defend itself by all means."
The Supreme Political Council of the Houthi movement on Saturday said it would take "effective response" to Israel's air strikes on Hodeidah port and would not hesitate to attack important targets in Israel.
Meanwhile, the Hezbollah force in Lebanon, an ally of Houthi, said that Israel's attacks on Hodeidah port marked a dangerous turn more than nine months into the Gaza conflict and heralded a new, dangerous phase of a very important confrontation across the entire region.
