The text, formulated at meetings between Foreign Minister Israel Katz and other senior officials, makes it plain that Israel will not allow an Iranian or Hezbollah attack to go unanswered, Channel 12 said.

The document instructs Israeli embassies abroad to contact their counterparts to explain Israel's actions, whatever they may be, in the case of Israel coming under attack. This applies to possible Israeli actions on all fronts.

Israel's Ministry of Economy and Industry said Israel has conducted an exercise to prepare for the distribution of emergency food in the event of an escalation of violence. The exercise, called "Bread of the Motherland," involved checking the inventory and readiness of emergency food packages stored at branches of major Israeli supermarket chains.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Tuesday that both Iran and Israel should avoid escalating the conflict, using his most direct wording yet. Blinken said the US’s commitment to Israel's security is ironclad and the US will continue to defend Israel against attacks from terrorist groups.
