(VOVWORLD) -Thousands of Israelis on Tuesday night gathered outside the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem to protest the military’s launch of a large-scale ground offensive to seize Gaza City.

Demonstrators urged the Israeli government to move toward a ceasefire agreement and a hostage exchange with Hamas.
