Italy’s Prime Minister consults to establish a new government

(VOVworld) – Italian Prime Minister designate Enrico Letta on Thursday began consultations within his center left Democratic Party about forming a coalition government. Letta said he intends to form a government comprised of 18 experienced ministers with the aim of ending the current political stalemate. The new government is expected to include members of the Democratic Party, the People of Freedom party of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and moderate groups of former caretaker Prime Minister Mario Monti.
