The visit aims to confirm Japan’s attachment to cooperation with major African countries on global issues.
Kishida will hold talks with African leaders and reaffirm his determination to maintain and consolidate the international order based on the rule of law.
This is Kishida’s first visit to Africa since he took office in 2021.
