(VOVWORLD) - Khanh Hoa is set to enter a “decade of enhanced development,” with the goal of becoming a centrally governed city by 2030; an international hub for marine tourism and services; a national and regional data center; and one of Vietnam’s key high-growth poles with double-digit economic growth. This overarching vision was endorsed at the closing session of the 1st Congress of the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure, held on Tuesday.

The Congress Resolution also outlined several key development goals for the coming period including building a modern, smart, sustainable, and distinctive urban system, with some urban areas reaching international standards; investing in modern and efficient infrastructure; improving people’s living standards so they enjoy a prosperous, peaceful, and happy life; protecting ecosystems, natural landscapes, and the environment; and strengthening climate resilience. The resolution also emphasizes building a clean and strong Party organization and political system, while firmly safeguarding national defense, security, and maritime sovereignty.

To realize these ambitions, the Congress set out priority tasks and solutions for the 2025–2030 period.
Delivering his closing remarks, Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee, said: “With the strength of great unity and a strong aspiration to rise, the Party, government, and people of Khanh Hoa are determined to comprehensively and successfully accomplish the goals and tasks set for 2025–2030. This will provide the foundation and momentum for Khanh Hoa to open a new chapter of development, becoming a national growth pole, a centrally governed city, where people enjoy a high standard of living, peace, and happiness, and contributing increasingly to the country’s overall development.”

The Provincial Party Secretary stressed that the immediate priority after the Congress is to surpass its 2025 socio-economic targets, particularly those set for the fourth quarter. This, he said, will create strong momentum for 2026, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee and the 14th National Party Congress Resolution. He called for the swift translation of the Congress Resolution into practical action programs and concrete, realistic plans to ensure the successful implementation of the province’s goals and tasks.
