Kremlin says high-level phone call prepares for Putin-Biden talks

(VOVWORLD) - The Kremlin said on Thursday that a phone call between top US and Russian security officials took place the previous day as part of preparations for talks between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, but that no date has yet been set for the summit.

The head of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and US national security advisor Jake Sullivan had a phone conversation on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Russian Security Council press service, the two discussed cybersecurity, Ukraine, and the migrant situation on the Belarus border.
