(VOVworld) - Lao Cai provincial leaders have agreed on a tourism development masterplan by 2020 with a vision of 2030 to build up the northwest’s largest tourism destination.

The province expects to welcome 4.5 million visits annually and generate 18 trillion dong from its tourist industry. The province aims to become Vietnam’s largest natural and mountainous tourist center by 2030, with 13 million guests per year and an income of 58 trillion dong. Several groups of solutions to realize the targets include human resource development, promotion, science and technology and market expansion.
