Largest annual Vietnam Festival opens in Japan, featuring 100 stalls

(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam Festival 2025, the largest of its kind, opened on Saturday in Tokyo, Japan, offering more than 100 booths, diverse activities, and unique cultural experiences to visitors.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said that through 17 times since 2008, the Vietnam Festival has become a special cultural exchange event, which the Vietnamese community in Japan and many Japanese friends are looking forward to. This is also one of the few international festivals in Tokyo that welcomes distinguished guests from both countries, members of the Japanese Royal Family, especially the Crown Prince in 2008.

Deputy Prime Minister Dung expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance of the entire Vietnamese community in Japan and Japanese friends, contributing to the overall success of this special cultural event.

The two-day Vietnam Festival will feature folk art performance, water puppetry, ao dai show, and traditional dishes as well as introduce the image of the gentle, friendly and creative Vietnamese people. One of the most anticipated is the premier show of the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater from Hanoi.

The Vietnam Festival in Japan is expected to attract 180,000 visitors.
