(VOVworld) - Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam Mohamed Berrah hosted a banquet in Hanoi on November 2 to mark the 61^st National Day of Algeria (November 1, 1954).
Addressing the event, the Algerian diplomat voiced his delight at the development of solidarity and friendship between the two peoples.
He congratulated Vietnam on its election to the United Nations Economic and Social Council for the 2016-2018 tenure and said he hopes Algeria will also become a member of the Council and two countries can coordinate effectively in this important UN agency.
