(VOVWORLD) - The Federated States of Micronesia gave 100,000 USD in aid to flood victims in central Vietnam, according to the National Assembly Office.

In a letter to the Vietnamese National Assembly’s Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Speaker of the Micronesian Congress Wesley Simina said the sum is small, but given the small population of Micronesia, each citizen contributed nearly 1 USD to support the people of Vietnam.
Micronesia hopes everyone in Vietnam will overcome this challenging year, the Speaker said.
Chairwoman Ngan sent a thank-you letter to the Micronesian Congress and people, saying Vietnam treasures and wants to promote its friendship and cooperation with Micronesia.
