Greek authorities said that boats from Turkey packed with migrants continue to land in Greece.
Under the recent deal between the EU and Turkey, all migrants landing on the Greek islands face being sent back to Turkey. The SOMP agency, which is coordinating Greece’s response to the crisis, said it will take time to start sending people back because Greece is waiting for the arrival of international experts who will process their return to Turkey. A SOMP spokesman said it will take time to implement the agreement because Greece is already overwhelmed by some 47,500 migrants.
