(VOVWORLD) -The Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene and the Month of Workers 2025 was launched in Hanoi, on Saturday, aiming to assess hazards and risks and take protective measures in the workplace.

The Month of Action, taking place from May 1 to May 31, will include large-scale activities at both central and local levels, praising typical initiatives and creative models of workers and businesses in ensuring occupational safety and health.
Workers' Month of May is themed "Pioneering workers entering a new era" taking care of the lives of trade union members and workers.

In his address at the launch ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated that the observation of Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene seeks to promote the role of the working class in production and create a safe working environment. He encouraged the responsibility of business owners in caring for, paying attention to and ensuring better working conditions for workers.
“I suggest that every enterprise truly consider its employees as its most valuable resource. Every grassroots union must truly be a trusted companion, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members. I also suggest that every employee proactively learn, practice skills, strengthen discipline, constantly innovate and love work,” Deputy PM Binh said.
