The majority of deputies agreed on the necessity of investing in these projects, which are in line with the 10-year socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030. They said investment in these road projects will promote the socio-economic development of the areas through which the road passes, while strengthening national defense and security.

Three of the five projects are expected to solve traffic infrastructure bottlenecks in the southern key economic region, unlock the potential of the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta, and improve their competitiveness.

Deputies raised questions related to the level of capital absorption of the projects, the ability to balance capital, resource allocation, project implementation progress, capital recovery plans, methods of operation after investment, compensation, support, and resettlement for people whose land is recovered.

On Friday, the National Assembly also discussed the draft resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province.
