Mr. Man, who also serves as President of the NEC, said that the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels is an important political event of the nation, aiming to select outstanding representatives of the will, aspirations and mastery of the people.

Emphasizing that this first meeting will provide comprehensive and consistent orientation for the organization of the upcoming election, Chairman Man requested that all activities of the Council aim to absolutely ensure democracy, discipline, publicity, transparency, and compliance with the law. He also stressed the need to fully prepare human and material resources, funding and effective coordination mechanisms between agencies.

“Strengthen communications before, during and after the election, especially raise people's awareness of citizens' rights and obligations in the election, domestically and internationally. Authorities need to protect a clean information environment, particularly on social networks. Personnel work must be done strictly, objectively, and according to standards, ensuring a reasonable structure and representation ratio,” Mr. Man said.

The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2025-2031 term will take place on March 15, 2026.

The NEC will apply IT in the election process, including VNeID app, and focus on digital transformation to ensure consistency from the central level to 34 provinces and cities and 3,321 commune-level administrative units.
