(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue arrived at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on Sunday evening, successfully ending 6-day official visits to the Republic of Korea and India, the two important strategic partners of Vietnam in Asia.
The visits continue to affirm the Party and State's foreign policy of openness, multilateralization, diversification, initiative, proactiveness and responsibility to elevate Vietnam’s global position. The visits promote the strengths of parliamentary diplomacy in bilateral relations, consolidate political trust, exchange information and share experiences on parliamentary activities as well as measures for economic recovery and development amid the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
As soon as the plane landed at Noi Bai airport, a ceremony was held to hand over vaccines, medical supplies, and funding from Korean and Indian enterprises to Vietnamese agencies and enterprises. They include 200,000 doses of COVAXIN vaccine for children under 18 years of age provided by India’s Bharat Biotech Group. India’s Optimus Pharma in collaboration with Vietnam’s Mekophar- Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company will transfer technology and deliver one ton of raw materials to process 4.7 million tablets of MOVINAVIR 200mg to treat COVID-19 patients. 1.6 million USD are donated by the Republic of Korea’s Hana Financial Group together with BIDV for social security activities.
