(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed a decision to promulgate the National Action Plan for Circular Economy Implementation by 2035.
The Plan’s overall objective is to form a sustainable production and consumption structure system, effectively use the value of natural resources, maximize the use of used raw materials and materials, limit waste generation and reduce negative impacts on the environment; strongly develop circular economic models in production and business; create motivation for innovation and improve labor productivity; replicate good practices, create green culture and lifestyle, promote green job creation and develop new value chains in circular economy.
It aims to realize an inclusive circular economy by 2035, coupled with innovation, creativity, high competitiveness, economic prosperity, environmental sustainability and social equity.
Vietnam will become one of the innovation centers, provide technology, equipment, products, services, and mobilize investment capital for the circular economy in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), according to the National Action Plan.
Priority sectors and fields implementing the circular economy by 2035 include: agriculture, forestry and fisheries; energy; mineral exploitation and mineral processing; processing and manufacturing industry; chemicals; construction; transportation; services and tourism; waste management; development of urban areas, concentrated residential areas; industrial parks, industrial clusters, concentrated production, business and service areas.
