(VOVworld) - The 10^th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee today/ Monday continued to debate the draft Law on National Defense and Security Education.

The delegates suggested that the bill defines the qualifications of lecturers in national defense and security education centers. However, there remains a difference of opinions. This is mainly over the necessity to make national defense and security education compulsory for the employees of non-governmental enterprises and organizations. Dao Trong Thi, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children says:“National defense and security education is necessary and we should increase the knowledge of those working in governmental and non-governmental organizations equally. Education should be flexible and step by step focus on specific groups of people.”

Some were of the opinion that the bill should define national defense and security education for religious dignitaries and the heads of hamlets, who are prestigious and influential people in the community. The National Assembly Standing Committee also agreed to assign the Defense Ministry to manage national defense and security education work.
