National hotline for combating human trafficking launched
(VOVWORLD) - A national hotline for combating human trafficking was launched on Friday at a ceremony in Hanoi, jointly organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Vietnam, the British Embassy, and the Ministry of Health.

The 111 hotline was established under a government decree issued in June this year, which details provisions and measures for implementing the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking.
The free service operates 24/7. Information received is forwarded to relevant authorities, including police, border guards, coast guards, or local People’s Committees.
The hotline also provides legal guidance, answers questions about victims’ rights, and connects callers with essential support services such as medical care, psychological assistance, and social services.
