National Tourism Year 2025 opens in Hue city
(VOVWORLD) - The National Tourism Year 2025 themed Hue –Ancient Capital, New Opportunities opened in Hue city of Thua Thien-Hue province on Tuesday evening, marking the beginning of a series of cultural, sports, and tourism activities that will take place across provinces and cities throughout the country.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh this event shows that Hue plays an important role as a leading tourism and cultural hub in Vietnam and the region, contributing to attracting more tourists to Vietnam and providing strong momentum for the tourism industry's swift and sustainable recovery and growth.

Chinh said: "Vietnam is entering a new era, where tourism is not only an experience but also a bridge for friendship, cooperation, and sustainable development. Moving forward, the tourism sector must fully implement the Prime Minister's directive on comprehensive, rapid, and sustainable tourism growth, following the motto: 'Unique products – Professional services – Convenient and simple procedures – Reasonable prices – Clean and beautiful environment – Safe, civilized, and friendly destinations.'”
The event marks the beginning of 160 major national and international tourism-related activities, with Hue itself hosting 75 events.
Hue city expects to welcome approximately 5.5 million visitors in 2025.
