(VOVWORLD) - The 8th round of UN-led talks aimed at ending Syria's 6-year war will begin in Geneva on November 28, UN envoy Staffan de Mistura said Thursday.

The talks will follow a meeting next week in Kazakhstan between Russia, Iran and Turkey.
The Syrian army says it has reclaimed the strategic Hweijet Saqer area from the Islamic State.
