New Year holidaymakers to Hanoi up 17%
(VOVWORLD) -About 160,000 people visited Hanoi on the New Year holiday on Wednesday, up 17% year-on-year, said the municipal Department of Tourism.

This year, the New Year holiday was just one day, so most people chose to rest and travel locally, according to the Department. But the capital city served 28,400 foreign tourists, up 67%.
Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 23.3 million USD, a year-on-year surge of 26%.
