Nguyen Ngoc Tu wins Chinese literature award for short stories
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu has just been honoured at the 2024 Dianchi Literature Awards ceremony, organised by Dianchi Literature Magazine in China's Yunnan Province.

This year, Dianchi Literature Magazine has picked the short story collection "Co Dinh Mot Dam May" (Anchored the cloud) by Nguyen Ngoc Tu (published in 2018) to present the "Best Southeast Asian Literature of 2024" Award.
For personal reasons, the Vietnamese writer could not come to Kunming city to receive the award.
Tu was the first female Vietnamese writer to win the Liberaturpreis 2018, as voted by Litprom — the Society for the Promotion of Literature from Africa, Asia and Latin America in Frankfurt (Germany) for her short story "Endless Field", a tale of Mekong Delta natives.
