Non-Aligned Movement boosts co-operation for peace, development, and human rights

(VOVworld) – The 17th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) ministerial conference concluded Thursday in Algiers with the adoption of a declaration which recommends that the Non-Aligned Movement members enhance their co-operation for peace, development, and human rights.

The 17th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) ministerial conference concluded Thursday in Algiers with the adoption of the Algiers declaration. 

The declaration underscored the movement’s commitment to building equal and transparent international relations and increasing mutual co-operation at the UN and G-77. NAM Foreign Ministers said reforming the UN is vital to the world’s peace, security, and development. The declaration also insisted on settling conflicts through peaceful means, adding that terrorism is a threat to the world’s peace and security.
