A wide range of cultural activities, public art performances, traditional sports, and folk games took place throughout the day.

Le Thi Thu Ha, head of the Culture Management Section of Thai Nguyen province’s Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department, said: “Every province makes thorough preparations to participate in the festival. The organizing board has arranged adequate resources  for the participants.”

The event which involves nine northeastern provinces and the guest province of Thanh Hoa will run until Sunday.
