Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday said he will terminate all agreements signed with Israel if it goes ahead with the move and claims the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, or any Palestinian territory ceded in 1967. President Abbas said Netanyahu’s plan conflicts with international law.

The Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip called Israel’s plan an invasion policy and vowed to resist the plan.

Saudi Arabia condemned Netanyahu’s statement, calling it a dangerous escalation. A Saudi official said Israel’s plan violates the UN Charter and international law, and will undermine efforts to reach a lasting peace.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said Netanyahu’s announcement pushes the regional situation towards violence and conflict. Jordan called on the international community to reject and condemn the plan.
