Party Chief and President To Lam works with Central Party School of China

(VOVWORLD) -General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam visited and had a working session with the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China in Beijing on Tuesday morning as part of his state visit to China.

At the meeting, Mr. To Lam briefed the participants on major tasks of the Vietnamese Party in the time ahead, including preparations for the 14th National Party Congress. The Congress has been identified as a milestone of a new historical era, an era of the Vietnamese people advancing to socialism.

He suggested the Chinese school and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to boost exchanges and the sharing of theories on Party building and national management.

“Vietnam and China are close neighbors with a long tradition of friendship. The two countries have many similarities in political institution, development path of cultural and social traditions, both are led by the Communist Party and are building socialism in line with the specific situation and conditions of each country. The relationship of comrades and brothers was painstakingly cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zedong, and generations of senior leaders of the two countries. This valuable common asset of the two parties and countries needs to be inherited, preserved and promoted," the top leader said. 

"Recently, under the strategic direction of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, the two sides agreed to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and build a Vietnam-China community with a shared future which carries strategic significance. Our relationship has recorded great achievements in many aspects, including cooperation in education, training, research and experience sharing. Cooperation between China's Central Party School and Vietnamese partners, including the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, is consolidated constantly and developed extensively.”

On Tuesday morning, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and the Vietnamese delegation visited MEGVII technology company in Beijing.

It was the last activity of the Vietnamese top leader within the framework of his state visit to China at the invitation of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping. At noon (local time), Mr. To Lam, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Beijing and headed home, successfully ending the state visit to China.
