(VOVWORLD) - The Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat convened in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that holding a thematic conference on science, technology, and digital transformation is part of the working plan of the Politburo and Party Secretariat, reflecting the Party and State's determination to successfully implement Resolution 57 on breakthrough advancements in science, technology, innovation and national transformation.

The Party leader said developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation is a mandatory choice and the only way to develop the country and improve people's lives, meeting the increasing needs of the people.
Mr. Lam said: "There are two key goals that we must aim at. They are enhancing social governance and applying technology in production and business to boost labor productivity and generate economic growth."
The General Secretary assigned the Government Party Committee and the Party Central Committee Office—acting as the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation—to incorporate feedback from Politburo members and Secretariat officials to refine the report for the upcoming 11th Plenum of the Party Central Committee, ensuring it includes updated global trends, specific challenges, and actionable solutions for the effective implementation of Resolution 57.
