Party leader and President Trong, who is also head of the subcommittee, stressed the importance of documents, saying they will serve as long-term, theoretical guidelines. He said the Political Report must be put in the center and must provide foundation for other reports. He called on the subcommittee members to thoroughly study and objectively discuss draft documents before finalizing them.

The Party leader and President noted, "Much attention must be paid, the documents must bear great theoretical and political significance and at the same time must be popular and simple, so that everyone can read and understand them. A strategy must be implemented immediately, theoretical but practical. Academic documents may approach new things, but the people must understand them. Try to avoid unnecessary confusion, misunderstanding, and controversy. "

Party General Secretary and President Trong asked the Editorial Board to carefully absorb feedbacks on the draft documents which will be submitted to the Politburo and upcoming meeting of the Party Central Committee for further comments.
