Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong says Vietnam always attaches importance to developing ties with Qatar, a key partner in the Persian Gulf. Receiving Qatari Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani in Hanoi on Tuesday, Mr. Trong asked the two countries to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of their strength, contributing to peace, cooperation and development in the world. The Qatari Emir spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements in national construction as well as its prestige and position in the region and the world. He expressed the hope that the two countries will continue to promote cooperation in all fields, especially in trade, investment, labor, education and training.
