(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong visited Gia Thuan commune, Tien Giang province on Wednesday.

He praised improvements in local socio-economic development and urged measures to implement the Prime Minister’s directive to fight drought and saline intrusion. The visit was part of Mr. Trong’s tour of Mekong Delta provinces.
At a working session with provincial leaders the  same day, Mr. Trong said measures should be taken to implement the resolutions of the provincial Party Congress and the 12th National Party Congress. He urged the province to make thorough preparations to make the upcoming National Assembly and People's Council elections a success.
